About us
Asabir Foundation started as a heart desire and the direction of the Holy Spirit to Dr Kwesi Asabir to established a Bible-believing church in a deprived community named Enyan Amoada in the Central Region of Ghana. Following the establishment of this edifice, the centre stage was set for Asabir Foundation, interactions with the members of the community and the church bridged certain social gaps. Thereby enabling the Asabir Foundation’s mission and vision for the community to flourish. Hence, various social intervention projects such as a school complex and a hospital were started.
Mission
Dedicated to guiding all individuals towards the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and fostering community development through education and healthcare.
Vision
Spreading the gospel of Christ’s resurrection and helping deprived communities. For every individual to experience the redeeming grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, providing high-quality healthcare and education for community progress.
Projects
The projects are aligned with the mission and vision of the foundation. Beginning with a church building that serves as a worship centre for the community. Constructing a school complex that serves as a centre for learning to the children of the immediate community and its environs. The hospital which is under construction, upon completion, it will be the first point call for basic medical emergencies.
Church
The church is the first edifice established in the community to serve as a worship centre for the community and its environs. Opanyin Kwesi Asabir Memorial Methodist is the name of the church. Adorned with ornate altar decorations, the focal point of the church is the altar, where the Eucharist is celebrated with solemnity and devotion.
The church is kept alive with a monthly retreat which brings the community to the throne room of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The youth in the community use the church as a centre for studying the word of God. The church has a resident Minister who steers the affairs of the church. In this year, 2024 the church celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Medical facility
The structure of the Medical Facility is going to be a storey building. The ground floor is already completed and very soon they will be running primary healthcare and basic quality healthcare services in the community. The facility will be called Yahweh Medical Center.
Several medical screening exercises and free registration exercises for National Health Insurance for indigence and surrounding villages have been conducted over the 10-year journey with the Holy Spirit we received from Jesus Christ.
School
In order to provide basic education for children of Enyan Amoanda a four unit classroom block was built in 2019. It accommodates pupils from Nursery to Kindergarten. This class room was donated to the Ghana Education Service.
To be able to offer primary education a one-storey building was constructed not long after. Its ground floor provides classrooms for classes 1-3 and the first floor is to serve classes 4-6 with an additional room to be furnished as a computer laboratory. The name of this school is Kwesi Asabir Methodist School complex.
Outreaches
Aside from providing a gathering place, the church also provides a maternity relief scheme to assist the (maternity) Free education scheme to cater to the children in the community First aid program to create awareness as well as train childminders and children.
